Paul Battye 

Chief Executive

Paul Battye is Founding Chief Executive of Moorlands Human Capital a specialist Executive Search and Talent Management Consultancy.

Paul specialists in senior executive and non-executive appointments and has a wealth of experience advising organisations from start-ups through to FTSE 100 businesses on how to attract, retain and develop the best executive, non-executive and senior managers. His works includes team and individual capability evaluations, leadership and succession mandates and building teams across Europe and the UK. Paul has worked with some of the world’s largest institutional investors in helping them find, attract and retain the best talent. Paul splits his time between our London & Manchester offices.

Robert Branagh

Non-Executive Director

Robert Branagh is a Non-Executive Director of Moorlands Human Capital.

Robert is an experienced general manager who has set up, managed and grown several businesses over the last 20 years having had a good business grounding in accountancy, commercial and legal working environments. Well known in the pensions industry, Robert is recognised as one of its top business leaders, achieving impressive results across multiple disciplines. His career spans some 25 years and he has a wealth of senior management experience in audit, consultancy, pensions administration, operational management, sales and marketing.

Robert is a sought after speaker and contributor to the financial press. He is a Fellow and Vice President of the Pensions Management Institute and sits on various industry boards and committees, and is Chairman to two of the largest UK pension schemes.

Steve Delo

Non-Executive Chairman

Steve Delo is a Non-Executive Chairman of Moorlands Human Capital.

A prominent pensions /investment industry leader and entrepreneur, Steve has built successful businesses in both asset management and pensions. He is a popular conference speaker and was recently named as one of the 50 most influential people working in pensions today.

He was the President of the Pensions Management Institute from 2007 to 2009 and is Chief Executive of leading trustee firm, PAN Governance. Prior to this, he was co-founder and Managing Director of a multiple award winning investment management business.

Steve’s experience spans scheme management, consulting, investment consulting, asset management, general management and trusteeship. He is chair of trustees for several UK pension funds and writes regular columns for two pensions and investment journals, including Engaged Investor.

In his career, Steve has won three major awards – Business Presenter of the Year, Pensions Personality of the Year and Independent Trustee of the Year.

Vince Linnane


Vince Linnane is Chairman of Moorlands Human Capital.

Prior to taking up this position Vince was Chief Executive of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) for a decade between July 2006 and May 2016 when he stood down from the position. He has worked at PMI since 1984 and previous posts included Head of Product Development and Head of Communications and Events.

Vince has a BA (Hons) from Newcastle University in English and History. Recent achievements have included winning the 2016 “Professional Pensions” Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2016 “Pensions Age” Pensions Personality of the Year Award. Vince was included in the most 50 influential people in UK pensions by “Pensions Insight” for the last three years.

Away from work, Vince is a keen football fan and is a season ticket holder at West Ham.
